Redhawks Downed By Terriers In Road Clash

HIRAM, Ohio – La Roche men's soccer hit the road for a matchup with Hiram on Saturday afternoon, unfortunately falling to the Terriers 4-1.

Hiram was the first to crack the scoreboard, netting a goal at 14:44, then grew the lead to 2-0 at 28:41.

At 34:15, the Redhawks cut the deficit in half to 2-1 when Jesus Angel Jimenez found the back of the net. The score would remain 2-1 at halftime.

Out of the break, Hiram would go on to take a 3-1 lead just 1:04 into the second half, before scoring its final goal at 73:41.

The final shot total saw the Terriers outshoot La Roche 31-5, with Hiram placing 15 on net and the Redhawks with two.

Between the pipes, sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Rizzo faced 14 of the shots on goal and made 10 saves.

La Roche gets an extended break as they return to the pitch on Thursday, Sept. 14 for a 7 p.m. matchup against Thiel on the road.
