ERIE, Pa. - The men's soccer team was defeated in road play this afternoon by the #24 Penn St. Behrend Lions 6-0. The Redhawks are now 2-5 in AMCC action and 4-11 overall. They are currently the eigth seed in the conference and two games back of a playoff position.

Senior goalkeeper Austin Gorman was able to contain the Lions in the first half, making five saves to keep the match even entering the second. The Lions defense proved tough in the first, not allowing La Roche a single shot. 

Behrend would find their footing early in the second when they scored three goals in less than 15 minutes; the second was off a Redhawk defender and counted as an own goal. The Lions would find the back of the net three more times, twice in the last ten minutes. 

Gorman would finish with 7 saves and 4 goals allowed in 72 minutes 17 seconds of play time. Junior goalkeeper Garrett Berner played the last 17 minutes and 43 seconds of the match, he allowed 2 goals. 

In total, La Roche was limited to only three shots (one on goal) while the Lions unleashed 20 shots (13 on goal). 

Three Redhawks were carded in the match, all in the second half.
