Men's Soccer All Time Winningest Coach David Day Steps Down After Decade of Success

La Roche College men's soccer all-time winningest coach is hanging it up after a decade of success. In November, Coach David Day officially announced he would be stepping down from the men's soccer program.

"Coach David Day was an integral part of the Redhawks Athletic Family for a decade", said Director of Athletics Jim Tinkey. "During those 10 years Coach Day exemplified consistency, persistence, and a passion for his sport and his student athletes. I have the utmost respect for Coach Day as a man and as a leader."

Coach Day took over the program in 2009 and led the men's soccer team to AMCC Tournament appearances in all ten seasons at the helm. His teams advanced to the AMCC Tournament Semifinals five times and never had a conference losing record. He twice led the Redhawks to program-bests 7-2 conference records.

This season, Coach Day became the men's soccer all-time winningest coach. Under his watch, men's soccer had the AMCC Player of the Year, AMCC Newcomer of the Year, 2 All-Region performers, and 34 All-Conference honorees.
