Ansede Nets Hat Trick in 5-1 Win Over Thiel

PITTSBURGH, PA – Pedro Ansede registered a hat trick and Tyler Grebur scored twice as the La Roche men's soccer team cruised to a 5-1 win over Thiel.

Firas Abduljawad connected with Pedro Ansede just seven minutes into regulation to give the Redhawks a 1-0 lead. The Redhawks nearly went up two but Thiel's goalkeeper Christian Conrad made a terrific sliding stop on a Peter Spagnolo strike inside the box.

Tyler Grebur struck in the twenty-eighth minute to put La Roche up 2-0. Ximo Vicent drew Conrad out of the net before finding Grebur on the far side.

Thiel's Eric Mitchell headed in a corner to cut the deficit to one but Ansede drew and converted a PK to answer for the 3-1 lead.

It took just one minute into the second half for Ansede to record the hat trick. Vicent found Ansede who snuck his shot just under the crossbar. Grebur scored his second just seven minutes later on an Abduljawad helper.

Thiel drew their own PK in the seventy-third minute but Austin Gorman made a terrific left-to-right diving stop to maintain a four goal advantage.

Ansede and Grebur provided the scoring while Vicent and Abduljawad each had two assists.
