BUFFALO, NY – The top two freshmen scorers in the AMCC Conference each recorded a point in the Redhawks (10-5-1, 4-3-1) 7-1 loss to Medaille College (15-2-1, 8-0) on Saturday. Despite the loss, La Roche clinched an AMCC Conference playoff appearance for the fifth consecutive season, including all three seasons under Head Coach, David Day.
AMCC Conference freshmen points' leader, Bryan Weimerskirch, extended his lead with a first-half goal and current runner-up, Ryan Luffey, added an assist. Michael Brunozzi and Nick Sabol each played a half in net registering three and four saves respectively.
La Roche will conclude the regular season with a trip to Penn State Altoona on Tuesday at 1:00PM. The winner will clinch a home playoff game on Saturday.
