Richard brings 22 years of coaching experience to the floor, including 12 years working in Division I hockey.

Coach Reichenbach comes to La Roche from the University of Maine where he served for 8 seasons as the Head Coach of the Women's Hockey Team. He led the team to the Hockey East semifinals in four of his last five years. Reichenbach also developed and coached numerous Hockey East all-stars and national team players from Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Lative, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Italy, and Sweden. This also includes five players who played in the 2022 Winter Olympics. Reichenbach led the Black Bears to their best season in program history and was honored with the Hockey East Coach of the Year and the New England Coach of the Year award. 

Reichenbach graduated from Hamilton College where he played hockey and lacrosse for all four years. He then went on to play professional hockey for the Richmond Renegades before he hung up his states to earn his Master's in Sport Management from SUNY Corland, where he also served as an assistant coach. 

Richard is a native of Baldwinsville, New York and recently moved to Pittsburgh with his wife, Sara, who is a Mental Skills Performance Coach for athletes, and their three children, Mia, Ty, and Noah.
