PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's lacrosse welcomed Mount Vernon Nazarene on Saturday for Senior Day, but fell to the Cougars 26-2.

MVNU opened fast, scoring the first eight goals of the game, before Robert Johnson scored unassisted with 1:14 left to make it 8-1.

The Cougars scored one more in the first to go up 9-1, then netted the first six goals of the second as the lead grew to 15-1.

Isaiah Hubbard netted the final goal for La Roche scoring at 4:50 left of the second, also unassisted.

MVNU scored two more in the second, five in the third and four in the fourth to close the scoring.

La Roche ended the game with 12 shots and seven shots on goal.

Johnson led the team with four shots, while Hubbard and fellow senior Cody Budgick each had three.

Goalie Connor Radecki faced 48 shots in the contest and came up with 22 saves.

The Redhawks final game of 2024 is on the road and takes place on Thursday, Apr. 25 when they travel to Hilbert for a 6 p.m. faceoff.
