Redhawks Fall To Bison In Road Clash

BETHANY, W.Va. – La Roche men's lacrosse took to the road to face Bethany, but were unable to take down the Bison, falling 25-4.

La Roche jumped ahead, scoring 49 seconds into the game, when Anthony Grebiner found the back of the net to make it 1-0.

Bethany responded with three unanswered to take a 3-1 lead, then Cody Budgick scored for the Redhawks with 6:57 to go in the first, assisted by Isaiah Hubbard to make it 3-2.

Once again, the Bison netted three unanswered goals to lead 6-2, but La Roche closed the first quarter scoring as Robert Johnson was assisted by Grebiner with 1:06 to go, making it 6-3.

The Bison would score the first two goals of the second to up the edge to 8-3, and the final Redhawks goal was scored with 9:05 to go in the first half by Hubbard.

Bethany would close the first half with six goals, followed by seven in the third and four in the fourth.

La Roche ended the game with 20 shots and 11 shots on goal.

Grebiner led the team with 10 shots, while Hubbard had seven. Grebiner's five shots on goal led the charge as well.

Goalie Connor Radecki faced 53 shots in the contest and came up with 28 saves.

La Roche returns home for the final two home contests of the season, but gets a break until then. First up is Hilbert on Wednesday, Apr. 10 with opening faceoff set for 4 p.m.
