Redhawks Taken Down By Quakers On The Road

WILMINGTON, Ohio – La Roche men's lacrosse hit the field on Saturday afternoon in its third game of a five-game road trip, falling to the Quakers 15-3.

Wilmington was the aggressor in the first half, scoring four goals in the first quarter and three more in the second to take a 7-0 lead into the break.

The Redhawks caught a rhythm in the third quarter, scoring a pair of goals in 27 seconds.

Up a man, Cody Budgick scored unassisted at 10:12, then was followed by Isaiah Hubbard at 9:45, who was assisted by Anthony Grebiner.

The Quakers netted the final two tallies of the third to make it a 9-2 score, then went into the fourth quarter scoring four more to up the edge to 13-2.

La Roche's final goal came at 10:13 of the fourth when Hubbard scored his second of the game, then Wilmington rounded out the scoring with two more.

The Redhawks had a season high 32 shots in the game with Hubbard's nine leading the way and matched the team-high with six shots on goal.

Budgick followed with eight shots, tying Hubbard with six on the cage, while Grebiner and Ben Cademore each had six shots.

In the net, Connor Radecki faced 33 shots and made 18 saved.

The fourth game of the trip comes about on Wednesday, March 6 when La Roche travels to Franciscan for a 7 p.m. matchup.
