Redhawks Men's Lacrosse Opens Season Against W&J

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's lacrosse opened the 2024 season on Tuesday, falling to the visiting Washington & Jefferson Presidents, 29-1.

It was all Presidents in the first half, scoring five goals in the first quarter, followed by 11 in the second quarter to take a 16-0 lead into halftime.

After W&J scored seven in the third to jump ahead 23-0, the Redhawks found the back of the net with 6:28 remaining in the third, the lone goal of the night for La Roche.

The Presidents would tally six more goals in the fourth quarter to conclude the scoring.

The Redhawks had eight shots in the game, four of which were on target, with Nathan Stockton's three shots in the game leading the way.

Goalie Connor Radecki faced 45 shots in the contest and came up with 16 saves.

La Roche now has five straight road matchups, beginning with Tiffin on Friday, Feb. 23 with faceoff at 1 p.m.
