Men's Lacrosse has First Battle at Home

PITTSBURGH, PA - Men's lacrosse of La Roche University had their first home game of the season today against the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson. The Redhawks put up a valiant fight, but in the end were not able to pull through. 

Scoring his first ever goal today as a Redhawk was Latrell King, assisted by Devin Wolford

Cody Budgick scored his second goal of the season as well, assisted by Benedict Mattingly

Also getting shots off for La Roche was Isiah Hubbard, and Chauncie Mickens

Scooping up ground balls today was John Aiello who led the team with six; just two ground balls away from having his 100th as a Redhawk. 

Jimmy Wodarek also nagged three, Cody Budgick, and Chauncie Mickens each collected two, and Mattingly, Hubbard, King, and Cesar Vallarino each had one. 

Defensively for La Roche Ulrich Sobehart, Wolfrod, Mattingly, Vallarino, and Mickens each caused a turnover. 

Leading in goal was Aiden Wagner who was able to keep 21 shots from becoming goals. 

The Redhawks are back in action this Saturday for their first game in conference play at the Wells Express.
