Hilbert Tops Men's Lacrosse in AMCC Conference Play

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The La Roche men's lacrosse team played their second conference game of the season, falling to Hilbert College 15-2. The Redhawks are now 2-11 on the season and 2-2 against AMCC competition.

Devin Wolford and Brent Burkhouse provided goals while Charlie King added a helper. Shawn McDanel was excellent in the faceoff circle, earning 13 wins and picking up 12 ground balls.

Zach Opalko paced the La Roche defense with 4 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers. Goalie Chris Sylis made 21 stops.

La Roche continues to show improvement in all areas of play. They were excellent in the faceoff circle, converted 21 of 29 clears, and limited turnovers.

They return to action on Saturday, and will play at Medaille in an AMCC Conference game.
