Redhawks Fall Despite Strong Defensive Performance

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The La Roche College men's lacrosse team had their strongest defensive performance of the season, but in the end, they came up on the wrong side of a 10-2 loss to Hiram. The Redhawks fall to 0-4 on the season and 0-2 at home.

The story for La Roche was the play of goalkeeper Chris Sylvis. Sylvis was a wall for the Redhawks and pushed away 26 shots. He also helped start the attack by guiding the the team to 21 clears.

Jake Podsiadly had a quality game and forced 4 turnovers. Brent Burkhouse and Nick Sylvis registered goals, while Devin Wolford dished out an assist.

The Redhawks will host Bethany on Saturday at 1pm.
