LaBovick Ties Single Game Goal Record on Senior Day

PITTSBURGH, PA -- La Roche senior, Brad LaBovick, tied the school's single game goal record in the Redhawks' 16-11 loss to Medaille. LaBovick ties former teammate, Jeremy Zang, who totaled seven on April 21, 2015.

Charlie King got La Roche on the board with a goal just 3:55 into play. Brent Burkhouse drew a penalty and King snuck a Devin Wolford feed past the Medaille keeper.

Six minutes later, LaBovick cut the deficit to 4-2 with his first score of the game. LaBovick added his second on a feed from Wolford in the second quarter.

LaBovick netted two in two minutes in the third quarter. Burkhouse was involved in the Redhawks' next three goals, scoring twice and setting up a Shawn McDanel strike.

LaBovick scored all three of La Roche's fourth quarter goals.

The Redhawks outshot Medaille 41-32 and won the turnover battle.

LaBovick had 7 goals and Burkhouse two goals and an assist. King registered a goal and two assists while McDanel had a goal and an assist. Wolford and Austen Lunt each had two assists.

McDanel won 17 faceoffs and scooped up 27 ground balls.

The Redhawks return to action next Wednesday and will host Thiel. Gametime is 4pm.
