Snowy Turf Slows Redhawk Offense at Oberlin

OBERLIN, OH -- The Redhawks fought through snow and blustery winds, but their offense stalled in a 28-1 loss at Oberlin. La Roche falls to 0-5 while the Yeoman improve to 5-0.

Oberlin set the tone early. They scored thirteen goals in the first quarter and added eight more in the second quarter. Jay Messina led the way with three goals as Oberlin entered halftime with a 21-0 lead.

Oberlin continued to play well in the second half but Austen Lunt got the Redhawks on the board in the fourth quarter.

Lunt's tally extended his goal-streak to five games. Shawn McDanel won 12 faceoffs and picked up 10 groundballs. Goalkeeper Charlie King denied 12 shots.

The Redhawks return to action on Saturday and will host Muskingum.
