Redhawks' Offense Begins to Click in Loss at Bethany

BETHANY, WV -- The La Roche men's lacrosse team remains winless after dropping a 22-7 game at Bethany on Saturday afternoon. 

The Redhawks played their best offensive game of the season. They fired thirty-six shots, and kept on attacking the net where they drew nineteen penalties. 

Austen Lunt continued to light up the lamp with his first career hat trick. He finished with 4 goals and 1 assist and now has 9 goals and 2 assists on the season.  

Shawn McDanel had an excellent all-around game. He scored his first collegiate goal, won 14 of 23 faceoffs, and picked up 18 ground balls. McDanel is one of the country's leaders in ground balls.

Devin Wolford scored twice while Brent Burkhouse and Abdullah Fallatah provided assists.

Alex Riegel made a solid nine saves in his first appearance in net.

Ricki Conrad and Peter Ferrante made their collegiate debuts for the Redhawks.

La Roche will host Alvernia on Wednesday at 4pm. This is the second meeting between the schools. The Redhawks beat Alvernia 11-7 in 2012.
