W&J Uses Fast Start To Top Redhawks

PITTSBURGH, PA -- La Roche Lacrosse fell to 0-3 after coming up short against Washington & Jefferson. The Presidents got off to a quick first quarter start and held on for a 25-2 victory.

Lunt scored twice on five shots. His collegeiate career is off to a fast start and he has 5 goals in just three games. Shawn McDanel continued his strong freshman campaign with 8 faceoff wins and 11 groundballs. McDanel came into today's game ranked fourth in the nation in ground balls. 

The speedy Abdullah Fallatah picked up 7 ground balls while Fallatah and Alex Riegel forced 3 turnovers each. Goalkeeper Charlie King played all 60 minutes and made 6 stops.

The Redhawks will travel to Bethany College on Saturday at 1pm. La Roche dropped a close 13-11 game to the Bison last season.
