Mullins Runner-Up as Redhawks Take Second at LRC Invitational

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The Redhawks concluded their stretch of four matches in seven days with a second place finish in the La Roche Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Wildwood Golf Club. La Roche finished just six strokes back of Penn State Behrend for the team title and Ben Mullins shot just one over par to tie for second.

Mullins continues to tear up the course this year. Today he shot a 73 including an incredible 34 on the front nine which had him tied for the lead at the turn. David Wilson shot a 77 and an even-par 36 on the front 9 to tie for sixth place. Pat McCall entered the clubhouse with a 79 (38-41) which placed him in the top 10. Tyler Booher (T-28, 83), Tom O'Toole (T-33, 84) and Harrison Thatcher (T-41, 87) all had solid performances on the tough course.

La Roche will enjoy a weeklong break before returning to action next Monday at the Westminster Golf Invitational (New Castle Country Club). David Wilson shot a 73 to win last year's invitational.
