Darrell Downs Career High 32 Points

CLEVELAND, OH - Men's basketball looked for the first win of the season this evening against the Case Western Reserve Spartans. The team was not able to achieve that feat, but there was a record broken in tonight's contest.

Devon Darrell recorded a career-high 32 points against the Spartans. The senior went 6 for 7 in three-point shots, giving him an 85.7% at the end of the game in threes. Darrell also recorded 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block.

Micheal Brooks had his best showing on the court so far this season with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The Redhawks did not go down without a fight and after being down 9 points at the half, the team was able to battle back to just being down by 2 points, and then after a layup from Joe Starzynski to tie up the game at 65-65. This was unfortunately as close as La Roche got to taking back the lead.

Joe Pipilo and Dom Elliot both also totaled 10 points for the Redhawks.

The team will be at home for the first time this season on Saturday at 2 PM against Muskingum.
