Tyler Frederick Named AMCC Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - For the third time in his career and first time this season, Junior forward Tyler Frederick has been named the AMCC Player of the Week

Last week, Frederick helped the Redhawks improve to 5-0 in AMCC play and move to the top spot in the conference standings. In two games, the Butler native averaged 28.5 points per game, 12.0 rebounds per game and 2.0 steals per game, recording double-doubles in both contests.

Against Mt. Aloysius on 12/18, Frederick scored 21 of his 23 total points in the second half to lift LRU over the Mounties, 78-62. In the AMCC game of the Week against Pitt Greensburg, the battle of undefeated conference opponents, Frederick scored a career-high 34 points, 25 in the second half, shooting 15 of 21 (71%) from the field in an 89-73 black and red victory. Frederick's 15 made field goals against the Bobcats are a conference season-high.
