Gould AMCC Player of the Year, Carmichael Coach of the Year, Frederick All-Conference First Team, Phifer All-Conference Second Team

La Roche College basketball's success did not go unnoticed in this year's AMCC All-Conference voting. The AMCC Regular Season Champions placed four on the AMCC All-Conference Team.

Zach Gould was named the AMCC Player of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team. Tyler Frederick joined Gould on the First Team and RayQuan Phifer earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team. Hermie Carmichael was voted AMCC Coach of the Year.

AMCC All-Conference Team

Gould becomes the program's second AMCC Player of the Year (Nathan Wojciechowski '11) and he is the first to win the award outright.

Gould was one of the nation's top shooters from long range. He led the AMCC with 87 three-pointers and shot 47.3% from three-point range, which ranks as the sixth highest in AMCC history. He ranked second in the AMCC with 15.3 points per game, third in free throw percentage, and sixth in assist to turnover ratio.

Gould was the AMCC Player of the Week, a 1000 point scorer, and named to the All-Tournament Team. He ranks among the program's leaders in assists and three-pointers.

Frederick grabs a spot on the All-Conference First Team in his first season as a starter.

Frederick was the top big man in the league, averaging a double-double at 14.4 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game. He led the conference in rebounds and offensive rebounds, ranked second in field goals, fourth in blocks and points, and fifth in field goal percentage and free throws.

Frederick was a 2-time AMCC Player of the Week and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Phifer earns a spot on the All-Conference Team for the third straight year. He was an All-Conference First Teamer last season and a Second-Teamer in 2017.

Phifer was the AMCC Preseason Player of the Year and one of the Redhawks' senior leaders. He ranked third on La Roche in scoring and led the team in steals and assists. He ranked sixth in the league in steals, seventh in assists, eleventh in blocks, and twelfth in scoring.

Phifer is a 1000 point scorer and ranks among the program's all-time leaders in scoring, steals, and assists.

Hermie Carmichael is the AMCC Coach of the Year for the second straight season and for the third time. Carmichael guided the Redhawks to their second straight AMCC Regular Season Title and to the first-ever 18-0 season in AMCC history.

Carmichael's teams have advanced to the AMCC Championship Game the past three seasons and he earned his 100th career victory earlier this year.
