La Roche Sweeps Weekly Awards As Cole and Gould Named AMCC Players of the Week

La Roche College has swept this week's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference basketball awards. Today, the AMCC voted women's basketball junior forward, Jenna Cole, and men's basketball senior guard, Zach Gould, as conference players of the week.

Cole helped La Roche to a 2-1 record last week, averaging a double-double with 20.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. She picked up a pair of double-doubles, with 17 points and 13 rebounds in Wednesday's victory over Pitt-Greensburg, and 25 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday's victory over D'Youville. Cole also added three assists and two steals in the victory over the Bobcats. She currently leads the AMCC in scoring with 19.8 points per game. 

Gould led the Redhawks to a 3-0 week to keep La Roche undefeated in conference play at 12-0. Gould averaged 21.3 points, 5.3 three-pointers, and 3.7 assists per game in three conference victories. He opened the week with a 23 point, four assist performance in a Monday victory at Hilbert. He then scored 24 points and hit six three-pointers in a Wednesday win over Pitt-Greensburg. Gould capped the week with a 17 point, seven assist, three steal output in Saturday's victory over D'Youville. Gould ranks second in the AMCC in scoring, while leading the conference in three-pointers and three-point percentage.
