Redhawks Down Geneva in Home-Opener

PITTSBURGH, PA – Andre Flanigan scored a season-high 19 points and the Redhawks (2-2) hit 9 three-pointers to down Geneva College (0-4) in their home-opener at the Kerr Fitness Center. It is La Roche's third consecutive win against the Golden Tornadoes.

The Redhawks opened the contest on a 12-0 run and scored 15 straight points at one point in the second half to cruise to an 18 point victory. La Roche's second half was highlighted by three consecutive three-point plays.

Andre Flanigan led all scorers with 19 points on 9 of 13 shooting. Joel McIntosh finished with 14 points including two consecutive three-point plays and Lionel Perkins registered 12 points. David Jackson and Derek Barber-Richards recorded 5 points and 5 rebounds apiece.

The Redhawks outrebounded Geneva 30-23 including 15-5 on the offensive boards. La Roche also forced 24 turnovers and assisted on 18 of 30 field goals.

La Roche begins AMCC Conference play when they travel to D'Youville College on Saturday, December 1. The Redhawks return to the Kerr Fitness Center on Wednesday, December 5 against Penn State Altoona.
