PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The La Roche University baseball team will host Pitt Greensburg on Monday, April 19th in a conference doubleheader. Game one is set to start at 1:00 p.m.

La Roche News and Notes

• The Redhawks are undefeated so far this season at 8-0 and first in the AMCC standings. The last time LRU started 8-0 in conference play was in 2017.
• On Saturday, LRU defeated rival Penn St. Behrend in two competitive contests, 2-1 & 6-4. Zack Oddi and Jackson Rogers picked up wins on the mound. Freshman Ben Dottle knocked in the winning runs in both games.
• As a unit, the Redhawks are batting .379 (100-264), the best batting average in the conference.
• LRU has outscored their opponents 80-14 through eight games this season.
• Senior pitcher Jake Seymour is the only pitcher in the conference and one of two pitchers in the nation with a 0.00 ERA who has pitched at least 10 innings. Teammate Zack Oddi ranks third in the conference with a 1.93 ERA and Tristan Tinney ranks 5th with a 2.31 ERA.
• Four Redhawks rank in the top five in the conference in batting average (T-1st Jay Novak, .500 | T-1st Nathan Stutz, .500 | 4th Tristan Tinney, .471 | 5th Austin Hoffman, .469)
• Jay Novak ranks tied for first in total hits in AMCC action with 16.
• Austin Hoffman ranks second in the AMCC with 15 RBI in conference play.
• Dylan Urban recently became the third active player on the roster to record 100 career hits (Austin Hoffman - 131, Jay Novak - 128). Urban currently has 106 career hits with LRU.

Pitt Greensburg News and Notes

• The Bobcats are currently 2-14 overall and 1-5 in conference play. Their two wins came over Hiram and Hilbert.
• In their most recent doubleheader against Mt. Aloysius, UPG lost 7-9 and 9-17.
• Pitt Greensburg has been outscored 181-95 through 16 games. The Bobcats pitcher's have a cumulative ERA of 12.47.
• UPG ranks second in the AMCC in team batting average with a .331.
• Six Bobcats have a batting average of .300 or better, led by Randy Hubbard (.435) and Jacob Davey (.415). Jace Cappellini leads the team with 17 RBI. Ben Green leads the team with nine extra-base hits.

• The Redhawks are 19-4 all-time against the Bobcats dating back to the 2011-12 season. The last time UPG defeated LRU was on on April 18, 2018 by a score of 15-3.
• Last time the teams met was a doubleheader on April 16th, 2019. The Redhawks won both games by just three runs combined (8-6, 5-4). Zack Oddi got the win in game one and Mike Nuzzo got the save. Jake Seymour got the win in game two.
