GREENVILLE, PA -- Shane Roebuck homered and Nick Tunstall tossed six strong innings as #21 La Roche cruised to a 13-1 victory at Thiel College on Monday.  

Thiel pitched from the stretch most of the game with La Roche getting on base in every inning but the ninth. 

Gino Quahliero got things started with a triple to the centerfield wall. He scored on a wild pitch in the next at bat to give starting pitcher Nick Tunstall an early cushion.

Tunstall struck out the first two batters he faced and got through a scoreless bottom of the first. 

La Roche tacked on a pair in the top of the second. The Redhawks loaded the bases and Johnathan Melendez advance home on a passed ball. The likely third out turned into an error, allowing La Roche to grab a 3-0 lead midway through the second. 

Tunstall continued to roll through the Thiel lineup and the Redhawks added runs in the third and fourth innings. Austin Hoffman tripled home Novak and scored on a Melendez single into centerfield in the third. Shane Roebuck blasted a two-run homer for a 7-0 lead after four innings. 

A Novak RBI single and a pair of errors increased the Redhawks' lead to 10-0 midway through the sixth.

Thiel broke the shutout in the bottom of the sixth, but La Roche struck for three more in the eighth inning. Maddux Ryan and Shane Roebuck provided RBI singles and Elmo Trickett also hit in a run.

The Redhawk bullpen stymied Thiel's offense. Alek Tesla entered in the seveth and tossed a perfect inning. Garren Telesz and Jesse Savisky threw a perfect eighth and ninth inning.

Tunstall improved to 4-1 with the win. Roebuck went 4 for 5 with 3 RBIs, 2 runs, and a home run. Quahliero, Urban and Hoffman all scored twice. The Redhawks drew a season-high 8 walks.
