Pitching was the recipe for success today for the Redhawks as they were once again able to top Misericordia, this time by a score of 4-2. The Redhawks finish their Florida trip with a very impressive record of 7-1 and were able to get it done in low scoring defensive games, as well as offensive slugfests.

A lot of pitching and defense in the game today, but La Roche once again got the scoring started in the top of the 3rd when Gino Quahliero hit an infield single and then stole second. Jonathan Spina was then able to come up and get a big 2-out base hit scoring Quahliero and after 3 innings La Roche was finally on the board and had a 1-0 lead.

La Roche tacked on another run in the top of the 4th when Dylan Urban singled, stole second and then Jay Novak singled through the right side scoring Urban and La Roche had the 2-0 lead.

A Misericordia solo home run in the bottom of the 5th cut La Roche's lead in half then scoring was silent again until the top of the 8th when Joe Professori led off the inning with a double, Urban was able to get on with an infield single and then Jonathan Melendez singled to right, giving La Roche a 3-1 lead.

Misericordia got the run back in the bottom of the 8th on a sac fly but La Roche was able to get some insurance in the top of the 9th when Maddux Ryan who was pinch hitting reached on an error and then Quahliero was able to single up the middle to score Ryan.

Jake Seymour shut the door in the bottom of the 9th putting Misericorida down in order and La Roche finished their Florida trip on a 4-game win streak winning 4-2.
