Wilt and Herstine Named Players of the Week as La Roche Sweeps AMCC Awards for Second Straight Week

The La Roche baseball team has swept the AMCC Player of the Week awards for the second consecutive week. Tanner Wilt returns as the Pitcher of the Week while Ben Herstine gets the nod at Player of the Week.

Wilt had one of the best pitching performances in La Roche history in the Redhawks' 4-0 win over Medaille. He allowed just one hit on Saturday while striking out 13 in a complete game win. The one hit was to the first batter of the game. Wilt currently leads the AMCC with 57 strikeouts and is tied for first with four wins. He is also second in the conference with a 1.65 ERA.

Herstine had a historic week for La Roche hitting for the cycle in their 10-2 win over Medaille. He hit .500 (1.250 slugging percentage) for the week with five RBI, four runs scored, two home runs, a triple and a double. Herstine is second in the AMCC with 35 RBI.
