Brian Beck joined the LaRoche University Sports Medicine Staff in August of 2022

Brian spent the past 6 years at Duquesne University. For five of those six years he served as the Head Athletic Trainer working with the men’s basketball program. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Beck spent 10 years working as an Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of Richmond. While at Richmond, he was responsible for the primary healthcare of the men's lacrosse team as well as the men's and women's cross-country teams. Beck also served as an assistant athletic trainer for the Spiders 2008 FCS National Championship football team.

Beck, who completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Duquesne in 2004, worked as an athletic training student with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2003 season. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree in education at Old Dominion University in 2006. His master's project was titled Testing Environment Effects Balance Error Scoring System Performance in Pre-Season Screening of Healthy Collegiate Baseball Players and was published in the Journal of Athletic Training in 2007.

Beck is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification and licensed to practice as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Pennsylvania by the state Board of Medicine.
