Two Seniors Named to AMCC Soccer All-Conference Teams

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Two Redhawk Senior's made the All-Conference teams as announced by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) earlier today. Senior defender Jessie Nakamura of the women's soccer team was selected 2nd team All-Conference and Senior midfielder Firas Abduljawad of the men's soccer team was selected 3rd team All-Conference. 

The conference recognition is the first of Nakamura's career. She is one of 10 defenders in the AMCC on the teams. The four year starter played in 57 games for the Redhawks totalling two goals and two assists for six points. Jessie also helped La Roche to two conference postseason appearances.

It is Firas' second straight year being named to an All-Conference team. Last season, he earned 2nd team All-Conference as a midfielder. This season, Firas scored 7 goals (T-1st on team) and tacked on 4 assists (1st on team). In La Roche program history, Firas ranks 8th all-time in goals (19), T-4th in assists (18) and 6th in points (56) in 64 career games.
